An alluring image from 1923 of Gloria Hunter-Cholomondy captured by the celebrated photographer Vic Jones at his small studio in Fulham.
Early examples of his work are now much sort after and highly prized especially his 'Pearl Neckless' series.
'Toots' Smith kindly sent in this photograph taken after his release from Broadmoor."A case of mistaken identity" he cheerfully insists.
"Mind you, I made a lot of good friends inside. Now that Ronnie Kray, he were a real pal. He'd have me standing in his cell for hours. Better than a TV he'd say. Sort of relaxed him."
"Yes ..mine went that colour as well!"
After a bruising encounter in the ring, Klondyke Kate's kit stays firmly in place and she leaves one in no doubt of her views.
"You just try it mate...and I'll rip yer head orf."
Well Kate...I don't think you need have any worries on that score.
Miss Bridget O'Donnel of county Cork has offered a tantalising photograph of herself from 1935.
"We'd spent the day collecting seaweed when my boyfriend who had a Brownie Box persuaded me to pose for him. I weren't so keen at first . Showing my legs was considered quite risque in those days."
....not only risky but damn dangerous in my opinion Miss O'Donnel and best left to the professionals.
Mrs Dorothy Spink takes a well earned breather during training for the annual St. Dunstan Charity Race. Winning five years on the trot, her unorthodox style attracted large crowds of cyclists to the event. Prince Edward VII was a keen admirer and was often in the winners enclosure. However, the novelty value of the Penny Farthing bicycle soon wore off and the last race was held in 1908.

Mr. Schmitt of Malvinos Villa, East Dulwich has supplied a rare photograph of Adolfs knees.
He writes "Adolf had great trouble finding ledenhosen that fitted comfortably.I can see him now, pacing in front of the mirror.' Lebersraum! Lebersraum! I need more Lebersraum! ' he would shout.He really got quite obsessed about it.
"Man carrying skin" a thought provoking example of Plastination by that great plastinater,Professor Gunther von Hagens.
You can't get more naked than that !....and who said the Germans had no sense of humour, you show 'em doc.

Mrs Fotheringay (August) displays her prize cumquat in the East Lothien Gardeners Calender.Over Ł800 was raised for charity and Mrs Fotheringay received a large quantity of unsolicited mail from cumquat fanciers who congratulated her on its size. It was later discovered to have been a melon.

NATURISM AT PILCHARDS COVE The Rev. R. G. R. Adkins, a well known Naturist divine, resident in South West Devon discusses the position of naturist activities in and around Pilchards Cove. The attitude of the local people towards the naturists may well be a pointer to attitudes similarly adopted elsewhere should the free beach principle spread.

Mrs Williams (Miss Pontypool of 1926) has kindly sent in this picture. In keeping with the 'tasteful nude' approach of this page, she is wearing a large number of woollen items as well as a silly hat. Well done Mrs Williams, and so you should....
Miss Hardwick demonstrates the classic stance for skewering squirrels. Combining an aversion to rodents with a wholesome love of the outdoors she now runs an holistic detox. centre in the Romney Marshes.When asked 'why squirrels?' she replied 'it's their bushy tails,stupid'.

Reginald Smythe from East Grinstead wearing the carved acanthus leaf reputed to have been owned by King Leopold of Belgium.
A lifelong thespian, his career has failed to attract the recognition he feels it deserves. A reviewer recently wrote "..Mr. Smythes' Hamlet was poorly received. Wearing what appeared to be a small item of furniture attached to his genitals and aggressively demanding 'Wot are you staring at duckie' of the front row did little to enhance a rather seedy performance..."
